Section III — Understanding the Oblate Vocation

I understand that the Oblate vocation has a dual mission:

To support the life, prayer, ministry, and vocations of the Servants of God of St. Augustine.
To bring the Augustinian spirit of “one mind and one heart intent upon God” into the world through my daily life.

I understand and accept this mission.

Section IV — Pillars of commitment

I understand that Oblates are invited to live according to the following pillars of our spiritual community:

SERVICE: Living the Works of Mercy through service according to my state in life.
EVANGELIZATION: Encouraging others to grow in faith and discern their vocation, especially supporting vocations to the Church and to the Servants of God of St. Augustine.

I understand these commitments.

Section V — Personal Commitment

With the help of God, I intend to strive to live as an Oblate by:

Remaining faithful to daily prayer and the sacramental life of the Church.
Supporting the Monastery through prayer and service.
Offering my time in works of mercy and Christian service.
Encouraging and supporting vocations to the Church and to the Servants of God of St. Augustine.
Living as a witness of Christ in my family, workplace, parish, and community.
