Whether you are discerning a religious vocation or are alayperson inspired by the Augustinian way of life, we welcome you to explorehow you can join our community through two distinct paths:

  • As an Augustinian Monk
  • As an Oblate

Augustinian Monastic Vocations

Is God calling you to a life of prayer, community, andservice?

Men who feel drawn by the Holy Spirit to the Augustinianmonastic life are invited to visit the Monastery and begin a journey ofdiscernment.

We seek men who:

  • Live a life of daily prayer
  • Participate actively in the sacramental life of the Church
  • Are  mentally and emotionally sound
  • Demonstrate stability and responsibility in life
  • Are faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church and her Magisterium
  • Are generally between the ages of 25 and 50

Entrance and Formation Process

  1. Initial     Discernment: Candidates visit the monastery multiple times. After mutual prayer and     discernment, if both the community and the candidate agree, an invitation     to apply is extended.
  2. Application     Process: Applicants complete a form and undergo both a physical and psychological     evaluation.
  3. Postulancy     (6–12 months): The first stage of formation, where the candidate begins living with the     community.
  4. Novitiate     (1 year): The candidate is clothed in the monastic habit and enters a year of     spiritual formation.
  5. First     Vows (1 year, renewable): After the novitiate, the novice makes temporary vows.
  6. Solemn     Profession (after 3–6 years): A lifelong commitment as an Augustinian Monk of the Primitive Observance.

Oblates of the Augustinian Monks

Live the Augustinian Spirit in the World

The Oblates of the Augustinian Monks are a publicassociation of faithful men and women who live out the spirituality of St.Augustine in their daily lives, while remaining in the secular world.

Oblates are committed to holiness, community, and servicethrough:

  • Spiritual Formation:A structured program focused on Augustinian theology and spirituality.
  • Community Engagement: Events, retreats, workshops, and spiritual enrichment activities.
  • Pastoral Support: Guidance from the monastic community and spiritual directors.
  • Mission Participation: Helping promote the mission and values of the Augustinian Monks in the     wider world.

Oblates Program Manager Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated andspiritually-minded individual to serve as the Oblates Program Manager.This person will:

  • Lead the Oblates Program in alignment with the mission of the monastery
  • Organize events, formation programs, and community building
  • Manage communications, records, and outreach
  • Provide spiritual guidance and support
  • Collaborate with monastery leadership

Requirements include:

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing
  • Strong knowledge of Augustinian spirituality
  • Experience in pastoral ministry or religious education
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A degree in theology, ministry, or a related field is preferred
